Sentosa Island 23 Dec 07

YJoo and her bf visited Sg for 5 days. I met them up in Vivo City Shopping Mall. Purposely woke up early to prepare myself and reached Vivo City half an hour before them. We took Monorail to Sentosa Island. Each person $3 for round trip.

3pm, we have almost explored all the stations in Sentosa. At first we thought we can return to Vivo City since it was still early for us to go for the show 'Song of the Sea'. But in fact we were not allowed to do so. Once we get out of the monorail station, we need to pay for another ticket if we want to return to Sentosa. Due to our 'Kiam siap'ness, 3 of us just sit inside the monorail. We rather sit inside the air-con monorail than just walk under the hot sun without any direction. Hehe.. therefore we totally spent around 1 hour in the monorail. Hmm.. We have fully utilized the $3 pass card.. ;P

We had our early dinner at SubWay since it was raining outside. We moved on after rain stopped. We found one special design near Merlion. Not sure what it meant for. Some part look like snake, some part look like dragon, some part look like snail. It is actually a unique-shaped fountain.

We were getting nearer to the entrance of 'Song of the Sea' but it was still quite early for us. Therfore we wandered around the beach nearby and took some photos.

Bugis Street | Century Square

Bugis Street

Mum came to Sg and stayed here for 3 days. I have planned to bring her to Bugis Street, because firstly I never been there before; secondly there is a famous Kuan Yin Thong Hood Cho Temple. We went there according to Eunice's roughly drawing and information. And based on my intelligence, I successfully brought my mum there. Hahahaha... ;P We went to Kuan Yin Temple before proceed to our shopping mission.

History of Kuan Yin Temple

This temple in Bugis Streest is specially dedicated to Kuan Yin, The Goddess of Mercy. It is always packed with people because wishes made in here always come true according to legend. My mum and I bought joss sticks and flowers. After prayed using joss sticks, I went forward to place my flowers. At the same time, I saw many people ran toward the same direction as me. At first I thought they want to do the same thing like me, but I was wrong. They actually wanted to take the sweets which believed will bring them luck after eat it. Of course, I will not lost this chance since I was so near to the place where those sweets places. Therefore I grabbed as many as I could. Unbelievable my mum more 'kiasu' than me, she grabbed more than me. Goshhh... =P

After 'kiasu' mission completed, we walked around somewhere near Temple. Unfortunately it started raining cats and dogs. Anyway this didn't destroy my mum's good mood to shop around here. She bought mushroom, America Ginseng, and other herbal things. She told me, it's cheap. Well, end of the day, I didn't buy much in Bugis Street. Vice-versa, my mum bought a lot.

Century Square

Monday after work, I brought my mum to Century Square. It is located near to Tampines Interchange. Eunice treated us a wonderful dinner in Food Junction - Korean food. After dinner, mum and I shopped around Century Square. She was so excited when she saw her favourite shoes. In fact, she excited because of its price. Each of us bought one. Each pair $19.90. Cheap right? ;P

A hectic weekend

Purposely took a leave and went back hometown to settle my car. It was hectic weekend for me. After settled name transferation of my car, I had lunch with my ex-colleagues at "Shanghai Ding House of Dumpling". The small bao is really delicious! The soup inside it is tastes good. Thanks Joseph for recommended such saliva-dripping dishes.

At night, went out with Joo, E4 and CC. All of us sat down on sofa in G-Hotel and girl-talk till 1130pm. What an enjoyable night! :"> Snapped few photos before left from hotel.

Saturday morning, Liew fetched me from my house and then we headed to Sg Pinang Road. I ordered "Chicken drumstick Mee Sua" and she order fried mee hun with fried fish meat and fried prawn. I bought a photo frame for Liew as her wedding present because I couldn't attend her wedding ceremony.

Hehe.. never know that I am able to meet up so many friends as well as settled so many things in this short period (36 hours). Really appreciated for those who willing to meet me up although it is just few hours.

Special blog to Kelisa

My precious car has been sold to car dealer. I have no chance to drive it anymore. Really feel sad when my mum told me about it. I bought it since June 2006. It's so charming for the first sight. That's why I bought it. I drove it everyday to work. I drove it to shopping mall on weekend. I did my best to keep it in good condition. I took up responsibility to send it for service on time. Can't believe that I sold it out after one year. The main purpose is I'm no longer drive it after I work in Sg. It's a hard decision I have made. I know I should give it a better owner, but not just leave it in my house without drive it. Thus, I have sold it out reluctantly. Hopefully its future owner will treat it well then. Bye, my Kelisa.

Pasta de Waraku

I went to Marina Square to meet my dearest Chinx2 today… hehe… As you know, I just stayed in Sg not more than 3 weeks. Definitely I’m not familiar with the location. Furthermore Marina Square is too big. That’s why I’m lost. T_T Luckily Chinx2’s cousin appeared to help me. :”> Thanks to Kel as well because he tried to direct me through phone. I think next time I should buy a cellphone with the GPS functionality, so that I won’t lost.

We had our lunch at Pasta de Waraku. I ordered Japanese fried rice with the price $9.80. It’s very delicious. Its taste makes me recall about the rice in Japan.

Chin Chin & I... Miss her already..

After meal, we headed back to City Hall MRT. Now I only know there has FREE shuttle bus to MRT in every shopping mall in Sg. If I know earlier, I no need walked under hot sun today. -_-‘’’ Anyway at least I learnt a lesson today. Hehe… And at the same time, I found Mandarin Oriental Hotel which OSK mentioned to me last few days. She actually planned to come to Sg for training but unfortunately there was a lot of procedures need to consider and made her give up the training.

Doughnut

Sometimes I will feel lost in the city especially when I’m alone or moody. I considered myself that I enjoy the life in Sg, but sometimes loneliness still attacks me. On the way back from Raffles Place by MRT, I feel so blue. Definitely I don’t like this feeling. Therefore I must stop it. Heard that chocolate can makes people happy. I headed to a shop to buy a heart-shaped chocolate Doughnut with a strawberry on top. It looks so lovely. Honestly, I not really like to eat strawberry but I like to see its color. Only strawberry-red makes me feel warm and care.

I was leaving Malaysia yesterday afternoon. I so touched when I saw them (friends from Agilent) came to meet me before I left. Thank you so much. This is the only sentence appeared in my mind.

My flight actually was at 115pm. Unpredictable, MAS delayed the time to 2pm due to some technical problem. -_-‘’’ if I can predict this, I sure continued chatting with them at Nandos. Well, I just sit there and waited for flight.

Finally, I boarded at 2pm. And this was my lunch in the plane. Woo~ woo~ curry chicken with plain rice + one big slide of BLUEBERRY cheese cake!!!! Yeah!! Better than what I think. Better than what OSK said. :D The cheese cake was damn oishi(delicious)~

I have attended my best friend’s wedding in Nov 11 at Evergreen Laurel Hotel. Hereby wish them stay happy forever.

Regret to say that I have no chance to take a photo with her because she was busy that night. Yea, I understand. I just felt happy because she still called me before I left from Malaysia.

Chinx2 came back for Deepavali holiday. Therefore we had a gathering at Babylon since Joo never attend with us before. The environment just nice for chatting like what I said in the previous blog. Watched 'Stardust' with Chinx2, CC and E4. I didn't watch movie for quite some times. Never think that this will be the movie I watched before I leave from Malaysia. This movies is great and funny. I know E4 love it very much until praised it non-stop since she came out of cinema...
