Went to Kusu Island with my mum last Saturday. Initially it was not a pleasant day, look like going to rain.... *Pray hard for not to rain cat and dog.... and, it works!!! =P*
Welcome to Kusu Island! Welcome to Tortoise Island!!!
Getting there:
Take MRT to Marina Bay station. Board bus service 402 from the bus stop outside the MRT to Marina South Pier. Next, take a ferry form Marina South Pier. It takes 15 mins to reach Kusu Island. Return ticket on ferry is SGD16 per person.
Why Kusu Island so attractive?
Each year during the ninth lunar month, thousands of devotees flock here for their annual Kusu Pilgrimage to pay homage for good health, peace, happiness, good luck and prosperity. Make it short, people hope to become rich lar... including ME.. =P 'Huat lar!'

In this island, there are 1 famous Chinese temple (Da Bo Gong Temple) and 1 famous Malay shrine (Kramat Kusu).
Kramat Kusu:
Ontop the rugged hillock stand three Kramats (holy shrines of Malay Saints) to commemorate a pious man (Syed Abdul Rahman), his mother (Nenek Ghalib) & sister (Puteri Fatimah) who lived in the 19th century. Many devotees will climb the 152 steps leading to the Kramats to pray for wealth, good marriage, good health and harmony. Don't worry, there has a rest point for you to rest before reaching destination.
Shouldn't miss the scenery here after praying session. The scenery here is absolutely amazing. Looking at the view, it brings peace of mind. I never feel so relaxing especially in this hectic working life.
Even looking at this colorful 'Feng Sui' fan, I feel so happy and freely..
