Japan Day 3 - Kyoto

8am, we checked out from Sheraton Miyako Hotel and our tour driver was waiting for us outside the hotel. Our bus driver, Izumi Sang is really kind, and never late to fetch us…

We headed to Shinkasen station and will take bullet train to Kyoto… Bullet train offers a world-famous and speedy Japanese train ride… We will reach Kyoto in approximately 15 minutes time…

While waiting for Shinkasen,

I sit inside the Shinkasen, and enjoy the view outside the train… take out my FujiFilm f40, snap pictures along the journey… Amazingly FujiFilm f40 can shoot out so stable image while the train is moving…

The train is moving fast…

Reached destination. Shinkasen and us…

Japan is famous of cakes… usually I see those delicious cakes from forwarded emails, but today I saw them myself… makes me drooling…

First destination in Kyoto is Heian Shrine…

But we need to do something before pray inside the Shrine… use this long and small container to take water… firstly wash left hand, and then right hand… lastly rinse your mouth…

Walk in the shrine through main door, but not side door. Side door usually for maids… How to pray? Throw your coins, clap your hand 3 times and make a wish… Bounds 2 times after make wish…

Wish board… I have made one wish there… :”>

We had our lunch at Nishijin Kimono center…

After lunch, we visited the center… there is weaving demonstration at the 2nd floor…

Kimono show is held at 1pm… I purposely choose a perfect corner for shooting… click here for more information about kimono...

Next, we headed to Kiyomizu temple… Kiyomizu (清水) literally means pure water, clear water or limpid water... The temple complex contains several other shrines, notably Jishu-jinja, dedicated to Okuninushino-Mikoto, a god of love and "good matches".

Outside the temple, there is a street for shopping especially for those who want to buy souvenirs… I hunted a lot of souvenirs here….

After shopping, we headed to Toyohashi… estimates 2 hours to reach Toyohashi… Our dinner for today…

We check-in in Nikko Hotel… and this is our room…

And my Yukata performance of the night…heheheh…

Toyohashi is a small town… the shop usually closed at 6pm except Pachiko and 99 Yen Shop… Kel and I went to game shop to take sticker pictures and we crazily played games there… it was fun… after game, we shopped at 99 Yen Shop… a lot of cheap things… heheh… girls like shopping… and I only shop on cheap things….;p

Our tour guide, Wan Ping is an experience tour guide in Reliance. She stays in Japan for quite some time… She usually told us some story about Japan during the move from one place to other place… Like today, she taught us some Japanese bad words… don’t simply say the words like “cincin”, “Busu” and “Baka”… those words mean “private part”, “ugly girl”, and “crazy” respectively…

Japan Day 1 + 2

Japan Day 1 – Kansai

Japan, I’m coming! I’ve been waiting for 3 months. Finally! Hohoho! Took the flight from Penang to KL, and then transited to Kansai International Airport, Japan. Since we reached airport quite early, we started wandered around airport…

Our luggage before check-in:

We were flying off to Japan by Malaysia Airline at night time… errrr… this is my first time taking flight to overseas… I think it will be much more comfortable sleep in the bus than in the plane… hehehe… and the stewardess kept waking us up for… Supper? Breakfast? Snack?.. I don’t understand… Consequently, I didn’t sleep within these 7 hours on the way to Japan… Hopefully I won’t feel dizzy or look like a panda tomorrow when reach Jp…

Japan Day 2 - Osaka

We have reached Kansai around 8am (Japan time), which is 7am in Malaysia…

Money Exchange sign board:

Toilet sign board:

I predicted wrongly… Now it’s still summer… My sweater and gloves become useless… Anyway the weather won’t destroy my good mood… Yes! Let’s heading to Universal Studio Japan, USJ in Japan…

Currently they are celebrating Halloween, therefore every building in USJ is designed in Halloween themed… Snoopy is welcoming us with open arms although I can’t see its arms… hahaha…

Taking pics under the hot sun is another great experience… My God! I'm burning! my cheek is turning into red color... hot! hot! hot! I can't open my eyes... The castle just behind me, looks great, right?

Hello Kitty is dancing… so cute…

Another picture shows that I’m celebrating Halloween in Japan… hohoho… Pumpkins and I….

Landmark of USJ… must take a picture here…

I have enjoyed myself from 8am till 4.30pm… It’s time to say bye to Universal Studio…

Next destination is Osaka Castle… beautiful scenery on the way to Osaka Castle… It is fascinating~

After 15 minutes walk, we reached Osaka castle main tower…

Osaka History Museum:

Finally! I’m wearing Kimono! Hohoho!

This is our dinner set – Japanese steamboat… forgot the name, but tastes really delicious…

Around 6pm, we came to Shimsaibashi which is one of the largest shopping arcades in Osaka… Do you notice that the surrounding was dark although I took this picture was around 6pm? Normally sunset early in summer time…

We have 1 hour time to stroll around the shopping arcades… came to a shop named cocorico and tried cakes here... I totally feel culture shock in Jp because I don’t understand what they’re talking about, but Japanese ppl are very polite and nice…

Our first night hotel is at Sheraton Miyako Hotel… Check out the room environment…

And… The most important of the night…. I’m wearing Yukata! :”> nice?

Trip preparation

。。。。期待。。。。

Working Life..

Few of my colleagues are going to study overseas like England, Japan, France and Singapore.. Two will leave company at the end of July and the other three will leave at the end of next month.. I have thought about study abroad before, just that travel is so much attract me than study.. I like to travel somewhere I never been before.. I like to explore those unique cultures in different countries.. And no doubt, travelling will also slim down my saving.. Anyway, all the best for all these colleagues who are going abroad for their studies.

Mr. Lau, my manager, was leaving company to start his new path in US.. We celebrated his farewell in Mumbai House.. First time had Indian food.. Taste delicious,really.. Some food look weird, but taste good.. There is an Indian singer sang songs on the stage..Surprisingly, he sang 'Pang Yiao'(Friends) on the stage.. On behalf of us, SE presented him a HUGE luggage.. Congratulation to Lau.. :) Check out the pics below...

PY, my UPM junior, has been undergoing her industrial training 3 months ago in my department.. Honestly, we don't know each other although she is from same university as me.. hehe...paiseh... It's never too late to know a friend in my working life... We had a farewell celebration for her in i-Dragon, Queensbay.. Check out the pics below...

Working life is boring? hmmm.. perhaps, we need to provide an input of excitement in the workplace..
I drew a tree on OSK's white board to show her what is artistic picture.. this is what a LAME person usually do when bored... hehe... After few days, someone has added something in my artistic tree without my permission (at least I'm the founder of this picture wat..).. See, my lovely artistic tree became apple tree with worms crawl on it... And made it looks like kindergarden-children's drawing.. ="= Next time I should put copyright on it... Definitely, everyone likes to do LAME things... hehe... enjoy working life...

Liew asked me that what's my expectation to Japan... A lot... wear kimono and take a pic (this always the first one in my list..), soak in hot spring, enjoy in Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studio, try original-made sushi and tempura, experience the Shinkansen ride, know about Japanese culture, encounter an ancient and cultural city of Japan, etc.. I know I only travel there 1 week, but I promise that I'll fully utilised this trip.. wahaha... v(^_^)v
