Liew's visit | Jan 1 ~ 3

SL was taking Tiger Airway to Sg. Initially I have no idea how to pick her up at Budget Terminal because there is no direct bus or MRT to that terminal. Well, internet is really convenient sometimes. From one of the forum, it mentioned that actually got FREE shuttle bus service from Budget Terminal to Terminal 2. Ended up I successfully picked her up at bus station, Terminal 2.

SL was so energetic after reached Terminal 2 and we rushed to United Square after taking lunch at Ya Kun cafe. Why United Square? because SL wants to look for new dress for her baby. :P You can find a lot of baby stuff here.


CH picked us up for dinner. We went to Esplanade after that. It is a good place for those people who want to practise using their DSLR camera. I am one of them. :P I think I need a tripod to capture a still and sharp night landscape. Any sponsor? :P


For the following 2 days, SL and I spent our time in shopping. SL loves to shop in Bugis Street. She found lots of dress she liked. Me too!!! I found my jeans and boots!! Anyway hopefully SL enjoyed her trip in Sg. Hopefully I am a great tour guide to guide you around. ^_^

LCC's Day 3 - Pasir Ris Park

Glad that Shih Shiew was able to meet us at Pasir Ris MRT. We took bus 403 directly to Pasir Ris Park. Compared to East Coast Park, here is quiet and lesser people. I like this peaceful environment. When we arrived Pasir Ris Park, there was small raining. Rain stop after few minutes but the sky was still dark. Don't care, we enjoyed shooting here. Hehe... =P

We had our lunch together at Hong Kong Kitchen. The food is delicious especially curry chicken. Thanks shih shiew for the treat! :">

We also ordered Mango ice. It is huge. We really cannot finish it.

Time to say goodbye to LCC. Feel sad after saw her walking in immigration counter. Will miss you again! T_T No one will chatting with me until late night already.

LCC's Day 2 - Boat Quay / Chinatown / Vivo City

Day 2 Saturday, we woke up quite early just to make our day fully utilized. Hehehe... Kiasu people. =P We stopped at Raffles Place MRT and had a sightseeing at B0at Quay. I never been here in day time. Although it is not as romantic as in night time, it was a pleasant day with blue sky. We snapped few photos before we continued our journey to Chinatown.

We stopped at Chinatown MRT and brought LCC walk around to hunt for souvenirs. In Chinatown, I have made LCC's dream comes true! See picture below:

We had our lunch - claypot frog porridge (田鸡粥). The porridge tastes delicious but I don't like frog. It looks scary but we still finished it. =P

We stopped by one of the dessert restaurant to have 豆花. I ordered chocolate 豆花 whereas LCC ordered Mango 豆花. Both taste delicious.

We continued our journey down to HarbourFront MRT. We arrived at Vivo city - the largest shopping complex in Sg. We went inside a shop named DAISO ALWAYS $2. Yea, anything inside the shop costs $2. We grabbed few things here. Hehe.... =p

We took a rest at Sky Park and discussed about our re-plan schedule because both of us were really exhausted and tired.

We made a decision and went back have a short nap in order to recharge ourselves. Hehe...

At night, I brought LCC to Boat Quay again. I like night scenery. We tried many ways, just want to capture the beauty of the night.

I guess Esplanade was crowded that night due to National Day ceremony. Therefore we only manage to see Esplanade from far. Not really far actually. Just separated by a river. hehe.... I was able to capture Singapore Flyer in my photo. =) Great!

LCC's Day 1 - Night Safari

LCC came over Sg for 3 days. She was stayed in hotel for the first night and was stayed in my house for the following days. Friday 080808 was my replacement holiday because Singapore National Day dropped on Saturday this year. Furthermore that day was Joo's ROM. Congratulation! =)

Day 1 Friday, I only can met LCC after 4pm because she had to work in Sg office. I met her up at Commanwealth MRT. We stopped at Choa Chu Kang MRT and then took SMRT bus 927 directly to Night Safari. The bus just stops right in front of Night Safari. It's so convenient.

We had our dinner Bongo Burger, Night Safari. Yea, we know it is costly but we have no choice. We shared the nuggets set. It's really big portion. We nearly couldn't finish it. =P

We took a walk ourselves inside the safari, no tram, no guide. It's damn scary especially at night time. We really had chance to get closer to wild animals as well as..... mosquitoes. -_-'''

No harm to take photo although we didn't plan to buy it. =P

Chinatown

It's great as I'm able to meet Joe and Sharon at Chinatown. They are exploring Sg for the very first time and will return to Pg tomorrow. We met up at Chinatown MRT. They were shocked because i never visit Chinatown. Don't blame ya if I show you both wrong direction. You will not get lost anyway. ;P

In Chinatown, everywhere is decorated with red tanglungs. It tries to remind me that Chinese New Year is just around the corner.

I like here because there has variety of products to be sold such as clothes, new year accessories, unique-designed ang-pao pack, souvenirs,etc. I found that a lot of 'Manju' stalls here and the seller shouted loudly to attract customers. Yea, this way really catched my attention and I really buy it.

Sentosa Island 23 Dec 07

YJoo and her bf visited Sg for 5 days. I met them up in Vivo City Shopping Mall. Purposely woke up early to prepare myself and reached Vivo City half an hour before them. We took Monorail to Sentosa Island. Each person $3 for round trip.

3pm, we have almost explored all the stations in Sentosa. At first we thought we can return to Vivo City since it was still early for us to go for the show 'Song of the Sea'. But in fact we were not allowed to do so. Once we get out of the monorail station, we need to pay for another ticket if we want to return to Sentosa. Due to our 'Kiam siap'ness, 3 of us just sit inside the monorail. We rather sit inside the air-con monorail than just walk under the hot sun without any direction. Hehe.. therefore we totally spent around 1 hour in the monorail. Hmm.. We have fully utilized the $3 pass card.. ;P

We had our early dinner at SubWay since it was raining outside. We moved on after rain stopped. We found one special design near Merlion. Not sure what it meant for. Some part look like snake, some part look like dragon, some part look like snail. It is actually a unique-shaped fountain.

We were getting nearer to the entrance of 'Song of the Sea' but it was still quite early for us. Therfore we wandered around the beach nearby and took some photos.
