Bali Day 2: Pre-wedding photo shooting

[18 March 2011]
This day is specially occupied for our pre-wedding photo shooting. We rented wedding gown and brought it over because I believe that it will be more cheaper compared to wedding gown rental in Bali. Few months ago, we signed up a pre-wedding photo package with a photographer in Bali named Iwan. Find more about him in Iwan Photography. He has a group of assistant photographers and makeup artist.
Photo taken at Nusa Dua. More photos in MyWedding.
Basically most of the time spent on photo-shooting. We ended our photo shooting at around 7pm. Feel extremely hungry and tired, of course. After taken our dinner, we directly returned to hotel to take a rest. Iwan promised to give us all photos before we heading back to Singapore. That's really great! ^__^

Bali Day 1: Kuta

[17 March 2011]
Bali is always my long awaiting destination. I love sunny day with raining occasionally. I love how Balinese welcome us. I love their food. I love their cultures. Most important I love to stay in villa with comparable price. Thus we choose Bali as our pre-wedding photo shooting destination. Meanwhile we had our pre-honeymoon trip here. ^^ By taking Air Asia, we flew to Denpasar. It takes about 2 hours to reach there. This time round we planned our itinerary as usual. For the first 2 nights, we stayed at Aston Kuta hotel and Residence. For another 2 nights we stay at villa in Seminyak.

Aston Kuta hotel and residence is located 5 minutes from Bali international airport. A short walking distance to Kuta beach. This hotel offers stylish and comfortable environment for visitors. Free WIFI is available in lobby and restaurant. We checked in superior room with interior design reminiscent of 21st Century Bali. There is kitchenette inside the room. The room particularly divided into living room and bedroom with TV partition.
After unpacked our luggage and rest, we decided to take a walk to Kuta beach. We believe that we are able to see/explore more by walking. On the way to Kuta beach, we stopped by a souvenir market. It was really pleasant to see those souvenirs displayed in neat with the price tagged on it clearly.
After a short shopping, we continued our journey to the beach before sunset. Kuta beach is no longer clean as many visitors crowded there. We reached there just nice to enjoy the sunset.
We had our dinner at Warung Made. They serve international and local food. We love its Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and Sate(satay).
We strolled around Kuta market after dinner. Tonight we went back hotel earlier as need to have a good sleep for tomorrow's pre-wedding photo shot. ^^

Cambodia Day 4: Royal Palace

[10 October 2010]
Yup, I was at The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda! After a good sleep, I believe I have enough strength to tour around.

Phnom Penh Royal Palace made of Baccarat crystal and dating back to the 17th century.

We have been attracted by this huge elephant. I fed it banana. We even took a ride on it. ^_^

We headed back to Singapore tomorrow. Therefore tonight we was going to have Khmer cuisine. This Khmer restaurant has been highly recommended by our tour guide. The environment is good, the food is delicious. Even lots of tourists had their dinner here.

Cambodia Trip Day 3: Phnom Penh

[9 October 2010]
We departed to Phnom Pehn by local travel bus. It's a long journey, estimated takes about 2 - 3 hours to reach there.

Our local tour guide fetched us up at the bus terminal. She was late and we thought we have to find our way to hotel. Fortunately after waited for 15 minutes, she was here.
This is our hotel room with attached toilet.

After checked in, we left our luggage and directly headed to Tuol Sleng Museum. Indeed this is not a cheerful place to be visited. This is actuallyTuol Svay Prey High School, which featuring life of prisoner. More detailed in HERE.

Next we headed to Independence monument. Independence Monument, or Vimean Ekareach – as it is referred to in Khmer, is a majestic structure that dominates Phnom Penh city centre. It Located in the centre of a roundabout at the intersection of boulevards such as the Sihanouk and the Norodom. Independence Monument is just few blocks from the key landmarks of the city.

Before dinner, we paid a visit to Casino. It was raining cat and dog outside, and we have to stay in Casino for an hour before heading for our dinner.

Unbelievable I can stay awake during the day trip after a long journey from Siem Reap to Phnom Pehn. I really need a rest for tomorrow's day trip to royal palace.
